Lamborbiker Version II

Still remember with Lamborbiker ? Now, Flavio Adriani has come up with Lamborbiker version II which is still a unique bike concept which has been differentiated from other conventional bikes through its hub-less wheel design. The concept was inspired from the Ferrucio Lamborghini designed by Nicola Tesla which includes an electric engine to contribute with the environment. Both the rear and front wheel is rimless and uniquely designed to enhance the performance of the bike. The exhaust pipes are placed under the seat for better space management. The design doesn’t contain any speedometer and the handles have been placed below the standard height of a conventional bike. All together, the bike has it all to serve as a future superbike.

Harley Davidson Circa 2020

Somebody pass me a helmut and a time travel ship because if this is what Harley bikes look like in 10 years, I’m so there. Designer Miguel Cotto pays homage to the big road hogs by keeping the large 883cc engine, complete with high revs and roars. The similarities end there. The design is almost tron-like in execution. Check out the wheel hubs. They’re actually giant bearings. I do see glimpses of Harley DNA in the center chassis but seriously, can you image any road warriors riding this?

Sporty Bike

I told you there was this bike conspiracy going on amongst the designers, add the Furious Sports Bike to the list. Dishy in its current avatar; the bike boasts of an aerodynamic design coupled with user-friendly ergonomics. What I really like is the ample display nestled between the handlebars. You get details like the route-map, current bike gear, temperature, time and speed displayed on it. The seat however looks tad uncomfy for me.

Electric Bike + Laptop + Phone

Electric Bike + Laptop + Phone

The Amur Leopard. Ryan McGinley’s solution to all of the modern Beijing resident’s electric bicycle needs. So you ride an electric bike all the time, right? You know it’s kinda basically difficult to transport anything other than yourself. What this little thang has is a spot for your laptop case under the seat. Not only that, it’s got a built-in navigational/communication device for you drive n text n crashers.

The spot under the seat is big enough to fit up to a suitcase down to a laptop case. Don’t put cats in there though, there’s no air holes.

The map device is basically the same as a smart-phone, but it’s built into the bike. Email, internet, and maps. Fashionable.

"Halbo" Super Bike

So you’d like to have a tiny motorcycle. So you’d like to have a fast motorcycle. So you’d like to have a safe motorcycle. I am sorry you cannot have all three! What you’ve got here is a very fast, very dangerous vehicle. It’s called the Halbo, and it’s got a BMW stamp on it. It’s tiny and it’s got a front wheel motor combined with a sphere form rear wheel.

The target user for this vehicle is a “vibrant eco-minded young individual.” Speed on! It’s half the size of the “regular high end motorcycle,” and it’s full name is Halb Organismus.

Wild enough?

Also it’s electric powered. The front wheel is stationary, while the back… tail… turns left to right. It’s like flying an X-Wing! Or… like a motorboat! Or… anything with a stationary front end!

Variable Frame Bike

The bike is up, then the bike is down. You sit on the bike upright in the city, then set it down to cruise in the suburbs. It’s intuitive. It’s wild. It’s a thesis project. It’s got a video to go with it. It’s already mocked up. The final version will have a battery and hubmotor for a little kick in the pants. Environmentally friendly city and country transportation in one bike.

Each frame is adjusted to the weight of the rider. The rider may ride in either mode forever, but if the rider wants to switch from one position to another, they’ve just to push the locking lever and lean forward or backward. The rider may change positions while continuing to ride the bike.

Info on the mockup movie, below:

This is the proof of concept mockup for a commuter bike with variable frame as part of the diploma thesis of the product-designers daniel knüpfer and stefan wallmann at anhalt university, dessau in mai 2008. In the concept, the frame can be locked by a lever on the handlebar, that feature is missing in the mockup. Also, the springs that help bringing the rider in an upright position need to be adjusted to the riders weight to balance the frame (making it possible to switch positions while leaning back or forth). these springs are too weak in this prototype, therefore the riders in the video need to push the backrest a little bit. only a very lightweight rider managed to bring himself up by simply leaning forward.

Vielen Dank, Deutschland.

Combination of Motorcycle and Snowmobile {Kvant Motorbike}

Kvant is a concept motorbike that will enhance the mobility in the snow climate as well as boost the winter sports experience for adventure enthusiasts. This bike is the result of a combination between a motorcycle and a snowmobile that will offer useful help during the snowy weather when people can’t use any other vehicle for transportation purpose. It features mono curving ski to offer supreme curve handling and efficient curve belt drive that provides improved maneuverability. It may seem quite uncomfortable to sit on the bike during the first look but actually a rider will be able to sit on the bike easily on the extended exhaust pipe while grabbing the handles.

Fantasy Comes Alive With The JetBike

We don’t live in Utopia, traffic snarls and packed commutes are the stark realities that we live with. A lucky few get to satisfy their urge of zipping down empty streets, past peak hours. Those not so lucky, vent their fury by tinkering with their vehicles and displaying their prowess in arenas. Others like Norio slip into the fantasy world and conspire to ride/glide on a Jet Powered Bike!

“Envisioning a jet powered flying bike powered by an alternative method of propulsion!”

Does that sound outrageous to you? Maybe for the moment it is, but I won’t grudge Norio for fantasizing such a beauty. After all he rides a motorcycle to work almost everyday. Such fantasies must be making the ride smoother for him!
